Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to identify the role of the sermons of the Grand Mosque in achieving social security during the Corona pandemic by monitoring the reality of the inclusion of sermons for the various dimensions of social security.

And follow the descriptive analytical approach.

The content analysis method was applied to a selected sample of the sermons of the Grand Mosque during the prohibition period of 1441 AH, which amounted to fifteen (15) sermons.

The research tool was an analysis form designed by the researcher, consisting of forty-nine (49) paragraphs representing the ingredients distributed over seven (7) main dimensions.

Among the most important results of the research: 1- The sermons of the Grand Mosque play an important role in enhancing social security in all its dimensions for members of Saudi society, and Muslims in general.

This is evidenced by the various topics addressed by the preachers of the Grand Mosque and related to local and global issues targeting the security system.

2- The results of the analysis showed that the arithmetic averages of the dimensions of social security ranged between (1.15-2.05) out of (3.00) degrees, where the highest was for the “faith” dimension with an arithmetic mean of (2.05) and a medium degree, while the lowest was for the “environmental” dimension with an arithmetic mean A rate of (1.15) and a low score.

3- The general arithmetic average of the degree of inclusion of the sermons of the Grand Mosque in the dimensions of social security was (1.46 out of 3.00), which indicates that the level of inclusion of the sermons of the Grand Mosque in the dimensions of social security came in an overall low degree.

4- The sermons of the Grand Mosque took care of the society’s needs, the most important of which is its need for social security in all its dimensions, especially the faith, political, economic, moral, and social dimension more than the health and environmental dimension despite its importance in achieving the social dimension.
