Abstract EN

This research aims to explore the elements of argument in caricature images in the Jordanian media discourse, and shows how the argument production of the caricature discourse is carried out.

It concluded that the irony, that colors the caricature discourse, is a persuasive method full of connotations that summarize the social and economic situations of the Jordanian citizen in the Corona pandemic aiming to expose reality and criticize the government’s procedures, and reveal a set of socially unacceptable practices through a set of arguments and mechanisms that are mainly made by the irony.
