Abstract EN

The current study aimed to examine the role of faculty members in the use of Social Media to enhance students’ digital citizenship in Imam Mohmmad Ibn Saud Islamic University and University of Hail from the students’ views.

It also examined if there were significant differences between the role of faculty members and the demographic information (University, Gender, Major).

The sample of study was selected randomly and the total sample participated in the study was 314 students.

The study used a descriptive approach using the survey tool to collect the data.

The study found that the role of faculty members in use social media to enhance the digital citizenship from students’ views were high, it also showed that there were no differences due to the demographic information (University, Gender, Major) ascribed to the role of faculty members from students’ views.

In the light of the results, the study recommended several recommendations that will contribute to spreading the concept of digital citizenship through the use of social media.
