This study aimed to identify the mathematical prowess of fourth-level students majoring in mathematics in the colleges of education at the Palestinian Al-Aqsa University and the universities of Sana'a and Dhamar of Yemen and its predictive ability in their academic achievement, to achieve the goal of the study, the researchers prepared a mathematical aptitude test consisting of (25) questions distributed on (5) dimensions, It was applied on the study sample consisting of (207) male and female students of the fourth level in the major of mathematics in the faculties of education at Al-Aqsa University and the Universities of Sana'a and Dhamar, and academic achievement data was collected through the grades of the sample members in the first semester of the year (2020/2021), results the weak levels of students in mathematical proficiency as a whole and in its three components separately (procedural fluency, adaptive reasoning, and productive desire).
It was also noted that the highest level of proficiency among the sample members in conceptual comprehension, While it was found that the lowest level of proficiency among the sample members in productive desire, as it was found that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) in the level of mathematical prowess among students of mathematics faculties of education at the Palestinian University of Al-Aqsa and the universities of Sana'a and Dhamar of Yemen due to the gender variable.
Statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the grades of the students of the faculty of education at the Palestinian Al-Aqsa University on the one hand and the grades of the students of the faculties of education at the Universities of Sana'a and Dhamar on the other hand, and in favor of the students of the College of Education at the Palestinian Al-Aqsa University.
The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the scores of the students of the Faculties of Education at the universities of Sana'a and Dhamar.
Finally, it was found that there is a predictive ability of statistical significance at the level of (0.05) for the four components of proficiency: (adaptive reasoning, conceptual comprehension, procedural fluency, And the productive desire) on academic achievement, while the results showed the absence of a predictive ability of strategic competence on academic achievement.
