Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the role for the Jordanian secondary school to develop student’s health awareness.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the use of the descriptive approach was developed and a tool was developed to achieve its objectives.

The study sample consisted of (350) teachers of secondary school who were selected by the cluster method and distributed in three regions, North, South and Central.

The results of the study showed that the estimates of the study sample for the role of Jordanian secondary schools in developing health awareness among their students came to a high degree, and there were statistically significant differences in the sample estimates of the reality of the role of secondary schools in developing health awareness according to the variable of gender and in favor of females and according to the variable of specialization and in favor of humanitarian specialties.

In light of the results, the study recommended several recommendations, including increasing the focus on the importance of spreading health awareness among faculty members, including teachers, educators, and administrative staff on the one hand, and among students on the other hand, to include both genders, all age groups, and academic and occupational levels.
