The current study aimed to reveal the proposed educational vision for adopting the concept of the smart school in the Jordanian educational system based on the Malaysian experience, to identify the requirements of the proposed educational vision, and to reveal the obstacles of the proposed educational vision to adopt the concept of the smart school, In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical method was used by developing a questionnaire that included (36) items, and its validity and reliability were verified.

The study sample consisted of (430) male and female secondary school teachers in Jordan.

A questionnaire was distributed to them and (415) valid questionnaires were retrieved from them for statistical analysis, with a percentage of (96.51) out of the total distributed questionnaires.

The results of the study showed that the arithmetic averages of the respondents’ estimates of the degree of suitability of the proposed educational requirements for adopting the concept of the smart school based on the Malaysian experience came at the overall level to a high degree, and the results also indicated that the general average of the respondents’ estimates of the obstacles facing teachers in adopting the concept of the smart school based on the Malaysian experience came to a high degree, as the technical infrastructure and fear of data theft or loss were among the most prominent obstacles.In light of the results of the study, the researchers recommended the need to improve and develop the technical infrastructure in Jordanian schools, due to its clear impact on impeding the adoption of the concept of the smart school in the Jordanian school environment, and the need to hold a series of seminars and discussion panels in order to educate all elements of the educational process of the importance of adopting the concept of the smart school and its role in providing educational opportunities for all segments of society.
