Abstract EN

This study aimed to detect the impact of overusing the social media in the achievement of students in schools of Shubak district from the teacher's point of view.

the researcher designed questionnaire consisting of )20( items.

it was tested for reliability at (0.91%).

the questionnaire was distributed to )022 ) male and female teachers in which the descriptive scanning approach has been used to achieve the objectives of the study.

for data analysis, means, standard deviations, the use of contrast uni-analysis and Scheffe test.

the results showed that the most important teacher’s estimates to the impact of overusing the social media in the achievement of students in schools of Shubak district were in the following descending order: the reasons related to the social field, the reasons related to the healthy field, the reasons related to the psychological field, the reasons related to the moral field.

it also showed no statistical significant differences among study area attributed to gender and educational qualification.

the statistical significant differences found were attributed to teaching experience in favor to the teaching experience (which exceeds 10 years) in the social field .the study recommends organizing workshops for the teachers to illustrate the importance of reducing using the social media and its impact on the academic achievement.
