Abstract EN

Through this article, it became clear to us the great diversity of violent methods that occurred in the society of Tunis during the second half of the 19th century.

first, the importance of security documents emerged as an important source of primary information emanating from social actors directly.

secondly, we understood the nature of the many tensions that intertwined with daily life in Tunis prior to the important event of the erection of the French protectorate in Tunis (1881), a practice also violent as an occupation.

thirdly, we conclude that the economic, social and political crises that Tunisia experienced during the 19th century affected the daily life of the population, as physical violence became a basic language and a common practice among people.

finally, we point out the importance of initiating work on a complete code of the body in the history of the Tunisian country.

in this article, we have tried to contribute to an inventory and identification of the nature, methods and techniques of violence, and this is a project that can be expanded and developed and is open to criticism and modification.
