Managing and developing job competencies has become a basic requirement for universities in this era.

To achieve adaptation and response to the successive developments, and a necessary factor of universities achieving their goals, distinction, growth and development, which requires developing through a set of policies, procedures and strategies that must be followed and benefited from in improving all capabilities of faculty members as they represent the most important intellectual and cognitive assets owned by universities From this point of view, this research seeks to identify the most important job competencies that must be available to faculty members at the Faculty of Specific Education - Damietta University, by conducting an open interview with them.

These are the competencies: (cognitive-personal-teaching-technologicalentrepreneurial), to end the research with a proposed conceptualization that includes the most important types of functional competencies that must be available to faculty members at the Faculty of Specific Education - Damietta University and what each type of sub-competencies includes.
