Abstract EN

This study refers to the Palace of Ismaiel Pasha Mohamed Tawfik as a model of the Palaces of Mohamed Aly's Dynasty era.

It is constructed and decorated as the Italian Gothic Art.

In this palace, the Art elements of Gothic art appear in the facades and inner halls of the palace.

The main art elements of Gothic art are used in this palace such as: red blocks, pointed arches, pointed twoers, crossed vaults, Gothic ornaments, net ornaments specially rose windows, lancet windows.

There are other ornaments in this palace like the colored glass in windows and doors specially the stucco stained glass.

The acanthus leaf is the main plant ornament in this palace as the tri and quad rose petal.
