The current study examines the revolutions of Prince Ali b.

Muhammad b.

A'id against the Ottoman occupation in Asir since 1298 - 1326 AH / 1881 - 1908 AD.

It attempts to employ various sources in order to explore the character of this rebellious prince, and to investigate the circumstances surrounding him by examining his speeches and poetry as a serious attempt to understand the historical influence of Prince AIi, and to explain his roles against Ottomans.

The study in particular concerns the activity of Prince Ali since he engaged the historical action influencing the theater of events in Asir when Asirian Revolutionists declared Prince AIi as a ruler after the death of his uncle, Prince Nasir b.

Ayed in 1298 AH /1881 AD, and after the consequence of the battles of Sharama village, in the northwest of Abha city.

The study also aims to examine the interaction of Prince Ali with the revolution that broke out in Rijal Alma in 1311 AH / 1893 AD, and when Prince Ali defeated Ottoman forces at Uqbat al-Samma (The mountain pass of al-Samma).

The research also will discuss how Prince Ali could take over the town of al-Siqa, in addition to the fact that the current study debates the Great Siege imposed by Prince Ali over the city of Abha in 1323 AH / 1905 AD, then the treaty of conciliation made by the Ottomans with this Prince and his family members in order to maintain the Ottoman's influence, and to prevent the possibility of any revolution that might undermine it in Asir in the future.
