Abstract EN

The study aimed to develop the objectives of the English language curriculum at the secondary stage in Sudan in accordance with the comprehensive quality standards to know the extent of developing the objectives of the English language curriculum at the secondary stage to achieve the objectives of the curriculum and to identify the extent to which the objectives of the English language curriculum at the secondary stage meet the objectives of Sudanese education.

The study followed the descriptive and analytical approach.

A sample consisting of (60) teachers of English language teachers in secondary schools in Sheikan locality, North Kordofan State, were chosen by the intentional method, and the data were analyzed in the Statistical Package for Social Sciences program.

The study reached several results, including the objectives of the English language curriculum, derived from the objectives of Sudanese education, which helps the teacher formulate behavioral goals from them, consistent with comprehensive quality standards.

The study concluded with a number of recommendations, including the necessity of qualifying and training alternative English language teachers (not graduates of colleges of education), developing teachers professionally to improve their performance, which increases the achievement of secondary school students in the English language subject.
