Abstract EN

This research aims to highlight the argumentative practice of Tafsir scholars, especially Abou Hayyan al-Andalousi in his book al-Bahr Al-Muhit, it aims to observe “The Premises of Argumentation” which are used by Abou Hayyan to convince his audience, and that argument is an important part of the argumentative theory of Perelman.

The importance of this article lies in highlighting the authenticity of the argumentative practice in our Arab and Islamic heritage through the analysis of heritage texts using modern theories tools, and showing the interest of Tafsir scholars in Argumentation styles and convincing audiences.
