Abstract EN

This paper aims at exploring the most important features of textual coherence from the general perspective of the Quran scholars, as well as from the particular perspective of al-Suyuti, through his book al-Itqan fi 'Ulum al-Qur'an.

Therefore, this paper discusses various thematic issues such as: textual coherence and the mechanisms leading to its achievement semantically and pragmatically.

The results have shown that coherence of the Quranic text according to what al-Suyuti mentioned can be achieved through various mechanisms such as: context, thematization, discourse theme, the relationship between the whole and the detail.
