The main purpose intended from the process of evidence in criminal matters is to demonstrate the factual reality of the committed crime.

this can only granted by using all instruments of proof besides expanding judge's authority to weigh evidences provided to him, pursuant to the principle of the freedom of personal conviction of the criminal judge.

through our study on this issue, we came up with a clarification of the concept of the principle of the freedom of personal conviction of the criminal judge, and the implications of its application.

an important issue has been mentioned in this article, namely the appropriateness of a criminal judge's personal conviction of the principle of legal and judicial security.
