This article provides an analytical study of the concept of restorative justice as a neoteric paradigm in resolving criminal cases, after the deadlocks of traditional criminal justice and its negative aspects, like penal inflation the slowness in conducting the procedures and the rise in the average cost of prison, which in their entirety are considered sufficient justifications for the adoption of restorative justice, based on rebuild relationships, rehabilitation of offenders and reducing recidivism, in addition to the relationship between the practice of the restorative process and its effectiveness in achieving the goals of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development established by the united nations general assembly on September 25, 2015.

among these, we mention promote peaceful and inclusive societies, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
