Abstract EN

The study aims to clarify the oversight means by which parliament affects the government in the Algerian and Lebanese political systems in light of those constitutional amendment for the year 2020 and 2004, by highlighting the mechanisms of parliamentary oversight that don't have direct effects over the Algerian government, and compare it with its Lebanese counterpart, to highlight the similarities and differences between them.

the study concluded that there are several means by which parliament affects the government in light of the Algerian and Lebanese constitutional amendments, which may not result the government responsibility and the confidence withholding in Algerian system, while it could happen in the Lebanese one ; as asking questions ; interrogation ; establishing parliamentary commissions of inquiry ; and discuss the finance act.
