English Abstract

Ecotourism is considered one of the best types of tourism in the world because of its elements that made it at the forefront of tourism patterns, as it is clean tourism that preserves natural areas and their environmental sustainability، and invest them with great benefit to individuals and the state.

The study deals with eco-tourism on Sanganeb Island in the Red Sea state, which is characterized by the elements of eco-tourism attractions and the attractive natural biodiversity It aims to clarify the elements of the development of the tourism sector in the Red Sea ports and to identify the types of tourism, especially ecotourism, as a tool to achieve sustainable development and raise the rates of tourism development in the study area, and to put proposals for developing the island and its beaches as a clean marine tourism area, in addition to creating environmental awareness among tourists and citizens and their good use of the island As one of the most important natural tourist areas in Sudan.The study used the descriptive inductive method in collecting data and literary studies, in addition to the analytical method and the ecological method in order to reach the desired results.

The study concluded that Sanganeb Island is characterized by its natural landscapes and a clean environment that attracts tourism, which can be exploited in a civilized manner that helps in strengthening the national economy of the country.

In light of the results, the study recommended directing tourism investment in the coastal areas near the islands, and spreading the culture of ecotourism among the residents of the study area in particular and the citizens of the Red Sea State in general.
