Abstract EN

The study aimed to know recognition in the view of metacognitive strategies.

This search used the descriptive method was conducted on a sample (N=184) in some schools in Tlemcen city and the search used two tools ; metacognitive strategies scale and recognition scale, After the statistical treatments the results showed a statistically signficant correlation between metacognitive strategies and recognition memory ; and the study also showed statistically signficant differences between high and low pupils metacognitives strategies in the most dimentions of (recognition) in favor for pupils are high in metacognitive strategies.
