Abstract EN

The study aimed to measure the effect of the green work environment on employee performance in Iraqi commercial banks.

the study relied on the descriptive and analytical approach.

the study population consisted of the 22 commercial banks in Iraq.

the sampling unit of the study was restricted on middle departments, represented by department directors, department heads, and employees of various administrative departments in the main departments of Iraqi commercial banks, numbered (400).

a comprehensive survey method was used for the study sample.

the study found many results; there is impact of all dimensions of the green work environment (green work strategies, green work policies, green work procedures, and green working conditions) on the employees performance (speed, quality of employees performance, accuracy, and knowledge of work requirements).

the study recommended adopting the concept of green work environment at Iraqi commercial banks as an integral part of its vision and mission towards workers and clients benefiting from its banking services because of its impact on improving the employee's performance in order to achieve banks goals.
