Abstract EN

According to the fact that budesonide have several chromophore grups have the ability to good absorbs the ultraviolet > based on this fact , aspectrophotometric methods was devolped for determination of budesonide in bulck and dosage form (polmonology).

the relation between the absorbance at 242.8 and concentration is rectilinear over the range - 140 20 μg /ml ( molar absorptivity is 4778.55) by using the placebo ,the different parameters affecting the development method were carefully and incorporated in to the procedure.

the proposed spectrophotometeric method was successfully applid to the determination by budesonide in bulck and dosageform , the percentage recoveries were 99.8±0.17.

the method is simple and sensitive and can considered as an alternative for other methods.

due tel now its no available pharmacopieas method for the determination of Budesonide in dosage form ,anew HPLC method was development for the determination of budesonide in dosage form using stainless stel coumn Rp18 ( 4X250 mm) and use of water and acetonitril as mobil phase with UV-Detector at 240 nm.

the relation between the peaks area and concentration was rectilinear over the rang 10-12 μg/ml the proposed HPLC method was succssefuly applied to the determination of Budesonide in commercial product Corti Vent® , the percentage recoveries was (n=10) 100.1 ± 2.1 %
