Abstract EN

Parabens are one of the most well-known preservatives which has been used for long periods of time.

however, recently, after discovering that they have an estrogenic act in the body, it was pointed out that they may have a link to breast cancer, especially after being found in breast cancer samples.

in this study, we confirm the previous results and compare the concentration of the three types of parabens currently used (methyl, ethyl and propyl paraben) in right and left breast cancer samples.

it was observed that the total concentration of parabens in breast tumors were 24.5 ± 0.9 ng/g.

these tumors are placed in the upper quadrant of the breast, which is closed to the place of apply skin care products, especially antiperspirants.

the concentration of propylparaben was the highest in breast cancer samples (8.9 ± 1.9 ng/g).
