This research deals with the study of the two pyramidal burials in the sites of Jouret Ain al-Krum and the Rashi sites and these two burials date back to the byzantine era.

both sites were related to apamea city.

this study also shows the great similarity between the burials in the two aforementioned sites, whether through the construction method or even the method of access to the pyramidal roof through the internal arches of the arcosolium type, which included three sarcophagi in each tomb.

the sarcophaguses were distributed over the two sides, and on the side opposite the entrance.

this type of burial was known in northern Syria since the roman era.

the mythology and symbolism were adopted during the byzantine era, and the most important of these symbols are the square, the circle, the peacock and the cup.
