طريقة تحليلية جديدة لمقايسة حمض الاليديك في الزيوت النباتية باستخدام مقياس الطيف الضوئي بالامتصاص الذري

Abstract EN

A simple, sensitive and rapid method using atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS) was developed for quantitative determination of Elaidic acid in vegetable oils samples.

This method is based on the ability of Elaidic acid to form complex with silver ion (Ag+), which allows the attached silver to be measured, after being extracted from the resulting complex and calculating the Elaidic acid concentration.

Elaidic acid - Ag+ complex calibration curve was linear up to 4 mg/ 100ml, with a detection limit of 0.02 mg/ 100 ml.

The method showed a good precision, sensitivity, and repeatability, with an average recovery of 97% and an acceptable relative standard deviation (RSD%= 1.42).

Results of Elaidic acid determination in vegetable oils were found to be in agreement with those obtained by standard method using gas chromatography equipped with a Mass spectroscopy (GC-MS).
