Abstract EN
The aim of the research is to Identfy some obstacles to sustainable professional development for principals and teachers of private schools in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of the educational indicators system, and to reach the most prominent proposals to confront some of the obstacles to sustainable professional development for principals and teachers of private schools in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of the educational indicators system.
The study used the descriptive approach, and the questionnaire was applied On a sample of (513) teachers and school principals of private schools in the Governorate of Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, and the study ended with the formulation of a set of proposals to address the obstacles to sustainable professional development for principals and teachers of private schools in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of the educational indicators system, including: Focusing on the educational indicators system in Dealing with students, paying more attention to the essence of the educational process than paying attention to the formal aspects, asking the concerned authorities for the required programs that correspond to their needs in light of the educational indicators system in order to achieve positive results in the entire educational process, interaction between teachers and principals, and between them and colleagues at the school level or at the school level.
The level of departments and the exchange of experiences among them, to include professional development programs In order to provide teachers and principals with indicators to measure the level of student achievement, attention in professional development programs to the actual educational needs of teachers and principals.
