Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID- 19) caused an unprecedented international health crisis and emergency.

Governments around the world have taken a number of measures against that threat, including containing the disease to stop its spread.

Measures included screening, isolation and treatment.

It was also feared that the pandemic might spread in the crowded refugee camps and temporary shelters across the world, given the difficulty of maintaining social distancing and scarcity of health resources.

Governments along with humanitarian organizations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and others have to spare no effort in helping such most vulnerable persons.

In this research spotlight is turned on the suffering caused by the disease to such people, least able to cope.

The research also deals with preventive measures; ensuring the continuity of health services; vulnerable and affected groups’ access to health response and the creation of integrated, sustainable systems.

Research also outlines actions taken by international organizations to address the impact of the pandemic; the positions of UN Secretary General and UNHCR on the protection of refugees from COVID-19 with a special focus on measures of protecting Middle East refugees in addition to the position of ICRC on combatting coronavirus.

Research sums up with a number of findings and recommendations; key findings are as follows: promotion of scientific research; study of coronavirus phenomenon and exchange of information and expertise.

This would significantly contribute to addressing the pandemic.
