Copyright is one the forms of intellectual property granting authors the exclusive right to prevent or allow the use of a creative work such as written, audio, audio- visual literary or artistic works, for a specific period in accordance with copyright.

Descriptive, analytical method is used which showed that authors could ask competent judicial entities to impose provisional seizure on any copies or funds arising, upon the expiry of their rights to their works.

They can also claim compensation for any damages arising as a result of infringement on their legal rights to and legal powers over their works.

Based on legal analysis of copyright provisions, we reached an important finding: inadequate provision for provisional seizure and compensation as legal mechanisms for authors to recover their rights in the event of infringement.

However, we appreciate diversification of compensation in KSA’s legislations, and suggest providing for the will as regards financial copyright.
