Abstract EN

This research discusses an important topic related to sports life, and the emerging issues of jurisprudence, shedding light on the issue of “the professional contract of the football player” from a legal view point, compared to Islamic jurisprudence.

The research is divided into an introduction, three sections, and a conclusion.

The introduction draws on the importance, the aim and reason for choosing the topic.

The first section defines the terminology of the research topic.

The second section deals with the stages of the professional contracting with the footballer by determining its terms and features.

The third section, however, shows its adaptation in the UAE law and Islamic jurisprudence.

Finally, the conclusion summarizes the results of the study, including: 1 .

The adaptation of the “football player’s professional contract” in the UAE law is a labor contract.

The adaptation of the "football player professional contract" in Islamic jurisprudence is a lease contract which corresponds to the labor contract in the UAE law.

Permission is the fundamental principle in the football sport being physically useful and body strengthening.

Contemporary scholars deemed this type of sport permissible subject to conditions and regulations due to the warnings surrounding this sport.
