Abstract EN

The current research aimed to measure cyclothymic among Fayoum university students in light of the variables of specialization, place of residence, and their ages ranged between 18-20 years.

the two dimensions and the total degree of the cyclothymic variable, university students in theoretical and practical colleges had a high level in the two dimensions and the total degree of the cyclothymic variable, with the exception of college students who had a low level of hypomania.

the university students in rural and urban areas have a high level in the two dimensions and the total score of the periodic mood disorder variable (cyclothymic), that there are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of university students in the dimension (hypomania) as one of the dimensions of the periodic mood disorder scale according to the specialization variable, and this is in favor of the average scores of female students of practical colleges, while there are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of university students in both the dimension (depression) and the total score of the scale.

Q cyclothymic mood disorder under study, there are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of university students in the two dimensions (depression, hypomania) and the total score of the cyclic mood disorder scale according to the variable of residence.
