Abstract EN

The current research aimed to know the reality of international research cooperation efforts in higher education institutions in Egypt, and to present some proposals to enhance it in the light of benefiting from the experiences of China and Germany.

The research used the comparative approach, and concluded a set of proposals to enhance international research cooperation in higher education institutions in Egypt, including: Holding periodic workshops to acquaint researchers with the most important international publishing standards according to their specializations, as well as introducing the most important global databases and how to communicate with them.

Increasing the funding allocated to support the infrastructure of higher education institutions, allocating a part of the university budget as an independent budget to support international research cooperation, establishing networks that support the communication of expatriate researchers with their colleagues at home, which contributes to developing their sense of responsibility towards developing the capabilities and competencies of their colleagues at home, and providing internal researchers with expertise International communication.
