Our educational institutions, including Al-Azhar institutes, need a certain type of leaders who have leadership skills that enable them to find innovative and unfamiliar solutions to many of the problems facing these institutions, which contributes to improving their leadership performance in many areas.

The aim of the current research is to stand on the theoretical foundations of the approach to crisis management, know the philosophy of developing the leadership skills of the elders of Al-Azhar institutes in the light of the approach to crisis management, know the reality of developing the leadership skills of the elders of Al-Azhar institutes, come up with proposals to develop the leadership skills of the elders of Al-Azhar institutes in the light of the approach to crisis management, The descriptive approach was used, and the research reached several proposals, including: training institutes elders to employ technology in the educational and administrative process, carefully selecting institutes elders on objective bases that depend on a set of foundations, the most important of which is the academic qualification (from masters and doctorate holders; priority is given to those with qualifications).
