The functional interaction between land uses and population demands have a demonstrable influence on land use proportions, as seen by the shift in land use proportions between planning and the basic design of land uses and reality.

As a consequence, the study problem represented by the research problem: the defect in the relationship between activities and use will directly affect the functional relationship between the uses of land in the city, and thus the weakness of control over the urban planning processes for the uses of land and their proportions change from what was stated by the basic design, especially in the research area.

The research hypothesis was that the economic factor, and the competition it causes in obtaining land, is the influencing factor behind changes in the interactions affecting land uses and proportions and that the basis of this is commercial use, which achieves competition over land uses due to its purchasing power or rent allowance for the used land.

The goal of the study is to address the problem and propose a solution for the faults in the functional interaction between land uses.

As stated throughout the research, various findings and suggestions were derived from the study, including the rates of change in land uses in the study region owing to the level of competition for land and the population's demand.

The foundation and the need of the people in both places and comparable regions to restrict this phenomenon, and the supervisory function should be engaged, imposing strong penalties on fundamental design violators to dissuade them and protect the remaining uses designated to each employment.
