The study aimed at identifying the reality of both distributed leadership and the organizational identity in the Palestinian General Personnel Council (PGPC), as well as the relationship that binds the employees' perception of the prevalence of distributed leadership as a practice and their perception of the organizational identity.

In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a comprehensive survey was conducted for all (84) individuals targeted in the executive and supervisory positions in the PGPC.

The required data were collected through a questionnaire where (80) questionnaires were valid for analysis.

The study found that distributed leadership is practiced to a moderate level, while the adopted organizational identity was defined to a high degree.

The study further found that there is a significant correlation of all dimensions of distributed leadership with organizational identity.

As for the impact, only the organizational culture was found to influence the organizational identity, while there was no statistically significant impact for the other dimensions.

The study recommended that more effort should be spent in trying to understand the relationship between the two variables.

It stressed the need to devote studies to examine the impact of the role of distributed leadership on enhancing the organizational identity.

It also recommended that specialists in the PGPC should review the applied leadership practices, enhance the participation of specialists, and distribute roles among them, as this contributes in strengthening the organizational identity of the PGPC.
