Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on an aspect of the political history of Dongola in a certain period in which Yunus al-Dakim, one of the princes of Mahdia, took over the administration of the region, from Ramadan 1308 to Safar 1313 AH.The researcher employed the analytical historical method as well as inductive method in some cases .

the Period witnessed some trivial changes in administrative and military aspects according to circumstances.

This period was also characterized by the large number of border raids on the Egyptian countryside by the Ansar, which had an effect on intimidating the Egyptian government which was trying to secure its borders.

This period also witnessed the Ashraf revolution in al-Buqa, and that revolution had an impact on the of Dongola’s Ashraf, who represent a part of the Baqa’s Ashraf.

This Study talked the advantages and disadvantages of Yunis second ruling period.

The most important findings are the blocking of the commercial road which connected the Egyptian countryside and applying the Islamic teaching collect the rights of Allah thus Unis exploited his power by appointing his relatives who treatedthe people badly and abused the power for his own sake and his relatives .
