Abstract EN

This research is a descriptive, analytical and critical study of Abu Hilal Al-Askari's phonetic and morphological corrections in his book Al-Takhlas.

This study revealed Abu Hilal Al-Askari's interest in linguistic correction in his book, especially correction at the phonemic and morphological levels.

The study also revealed Abu Hilal Al-Askari's haste in misspelling many of the words or some of the standard Arab languages whose languages are considered, and judging them as abnormal or wrong, as well as his violation of listening and analogy in misspelling some of the words that were mentioned in the hearing and supported by analogy; Which indicates that he has taken the path of hardliners in criticism.

It was also clear from the study that Al-Askari relied in his criticism of words on several criteria for criticism, which are: choosing the most eloquent, and analogy at most, and his adoption of the correct one side of the word without the other.

The study also proved in Arabic some of the words that Al-Askari judged to be foreign and not Arabic This research came in an introduction, a preface, two chapters and eleven topics, a conclusion, and technical indexes represented in: the index of sources and references, and the index of topics.
