This research deals with the semantic terms included in the glossary of the book "Ilm Ed-Delala" by the late Dr.

Ahmad Mokhtar Omar.

this research divided these terms into several sections (science terms and its signatures, terms of minor semantic units, terms and types of meaning, terms of theories and semantic approaches, terms of semantic relations) to identify the mechanisms of transferring them into the Arabic language and the problems of translating them and monitoring the ways of recording them between the text and the glossary, with the use of their analogues of semantic terms in the specialized Arabic linguitic dictionaries, in the context of paving the way for efforts to build an Arabic linguistic (historical) dictionary that looks at the founding Arabic works and their glossaries as a sources in the development of that dictionary.
