The interest in the establishment of mourning councils, in particular, mourning councils, reached Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and mentioned the misfortunes of the people of the house in Karbala; It reached its climax in the Qajar era, and the religious situation in this era was especially true when the state was given a religious character.

By examining the activities of the kings of the Qajar era, their religious tendencies were revealed, which were manifested in many forms; Such as establishing obligatory duties, building mosques and religious places, and respecting the clergy.

Although the revival and establishment of the gatherings of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in the Qajar era is a continuation of what was in the Safavid era, the mourning ceremonies in this era entered a new stage.

The mourning theatrical performances, which investigators differed in determining the time of their emergence; One of the forms of mourning in the sacred month of Muharram, but it can be said according to what is in the books and references that we have that mourning began at the end of the Zand era and reached its peak in the Qajar era.

In this study, which is one of the types of library historical studies, he put the role of women - which he did not highlight well - in holding theatrical mourning performances in the Qajar era; Under the microscope article.

It is clear from the results of this investigation that women’s theatrical mourning performances originated in the Qajar era and were performed by court women only, and due to several factors, they were not widely accepted and eventually disappeared.
