Abstract EN

The reading of Hafs on the authority of Asim is the most famous of the recurrent readings in the Islamic world.

It has been and is still being praised by Islamic scholars for centuries.

However, the reader in the books of interpretation and guidance of readings and some Arabic books notes a challenge to some of Hafs’s choice of reading, which raises suspicion and doubt in this eternal reading.

Therefore, this research aimed to collect these appeals - according to the study’s limits - whether they are directed to expression, meaning, or performance and objectively shows their evidence, then discusses them to conclude that these appeals are not correct.

Moreover, the scholars’ praise for this recitation, its frequency and excellence is exemplary.
