Abstract EN

This study investigates a controversial syntactic issue in Arabic linguistics: Cordinating the nominative case to a grammatical position/place occupied by the particle ʔinna or its sisters.

It sought to know the compatibility of the conditions set by the proponents of this construction compared to the applied structures in the Quranic readings by the so-called Quran Arabizers.

The study finished to the analogical application of conjunctions to the surface form (subjunctive case) supports the conjunction to the syntactic position/underlying place (nominative case) as long as the meaning is correct.

It also found that conjunction to the syntactic position is more frequent than that to the hidden pronoun (nominative case), which loses its primary function (emphasis) in all of the attested Quranic verses and violates the semantic meaning in some cases.
