This paper is titled : events and results of the battle Siffin Al Muharram 37AH / June 657 AD, and it aims to identify the causes of the conflict between Saydna Ali and Saydna Muawiyah (may God be pleased with them), in order to determine the reasons of the battle, and its results.
the study followed the historical, descriptive and analytical method.
and it reached a number of results.
the withdrawal of saydna Muawiyah (may God be pleased with him) by saydna Ali (may god be pleased with him) from the state of al-Sham because he did not pledge him in the caliphate.
the battle did not result in either a victor or a vanquished, but it results in the arbitration between the two teams.
