The Sudan has a great deal of natural resources particularly metals which exist in different kind due to the fact that the Sudan has tremendous land and various geographic terrains since an cent civilization Sudanese people have engaged in the area of mining and the Sudan has been famous for having gold the fact that which lured the neighboring nation to invade the Sudan looking for gold.

This research deals with mining activity in the Sudan throughout history as well as the conflict between the Sudanese and outsiders over gold.

The researcher has concluded some findings of which the followings are the more important, since ancient ages, the people of the Sudan have known how to mine gold.

The fact that gold in the Sudan has always been coveted by outsiders caused Sudan to be invaded by neighbors over and over again.

Nowadays mining is drawing the attention more and more particularly gold which constitutes a great deal of the country national income.
