Abstract EN

This study aims to diagnose the political situation that prevailed in "Hijaz" during the second Abbasid era (232-334 AH/ 846-945 AD) and to show the factors that helped the separation of this region from the body of the Abbasid Caliphate, where the "Hijaz" emerged as an important political region within the regions of the Abbasid state, which influenced in the events that were taking place at the time in Baghdad.

The importance of the study lies in the fact that this period of time is very important in the history of the Abbasid Caliphate, because it is one of the prominent joints in the fate of this state, due to the emergence of separatist tendencies and "Alawite" revolutions that made the Abbasid entity weak and torn.

The study used the descriptive historical method, which traces the political and military historical incidents from their primary sources and describes their development, and then used the analytical method that compares and analyzes these incidents to derive the targeted results.

The study reached a number of important results, including that the second Abbasid era is the real beginning of the rupture of the Abbasid state due to the control of non-Arab elements in the affairs of government in Baghdad.

Including that, the success of the "Alawites" in separating the "Hijaz" region from the entity of the Abbasid state was due to the popular incubator and the great loyalty that the "Hijazis" showed to the "Alawite" call before the establishment of the "Abbasid" Caliphate itself.
