The research aims to know (The Impact of the Gardens of Ideas strategy on developing reflective thinking among fifth-grade literary students in material history), by verifying the validity of the null hypotheses prepared by the researcher as he used a partially controlled experimental design (experimental group and control group) with pre and post-test.

The research sample reached to (60) students, about (30) students in each group.

The researcher equaled between the two groups concerning the following variables (educational achievement of both parents - chronical age calculated by months - grades of the second course in History for 2018-2019.

, intelligence testing, and pre-test of measuring the reflective thinking), as for the research tool, the researcher prepared a reflective thinking scale consisting of (30) items , and each items has four alternatives.

The researcher used the (T-test) for two independent samples equal in number, and the (T-test) for two interconnected samples.

The results of the research led to the growth of the students of the experimental group over the students of the control group , and in light of the results of the research, the research recommended using the idea gardens strategy in teaching modern and contemporary history of Europe and America because of its impact on the development of contemplative thinking and as an extension and complement of this research, the researcher suggested conducting a study on the impact of the strategy Gardens of Ideas on another stage of study (Primary and Secondary School).
