Abstract EN
The research aims to identify the effect of the strategy of somo in modifying alternative perceptions of mathematics for sixth graders.
The researcher used the experimental design with partial control (experimental and control groups) represented by the test to modify alternative perceptions.
The research sample consisted of (84) students, the experimental group included (42) students, and the control group included (42) students.
The researcher prepared a test to modify alternative perceptions consisting of (40) items, and its validity, difficulty coefficient, discriminatory strength, effectiveness and stability of the wrong alternatives were verified.
After completing the application of the experiment, testing the students, collecting data and processing it statistically, the results showed that the experimental group that studied the somo strategy in modifying alternative perceptions outperformed the control group.
