The importance of quarantine lies in the fact that they are an important means of health prevention, infection control and epidemics, which existed in modern times, to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, such as cholera and plague, and highlights the importance of the study, in trying to show the history of regulations related to quarantine.

the study focused on the development of quarantine in Hijaz, their relationship to pilgrimage and pilgrims, and described their history and geography.

the reasons for its construction, the results of its operation, and the focus on the Kamran quarantine, the ABU SAAD quarantine, the wasta quarantine, wajhquarantine and tor quarantine, by studying its development in the ottoman era, the hashemite era represented by the rule of Sharif Hussein, and the saudi era represented by the rule of King Abdul Aziz, explaining the obstacles faced by those quarantines, the amount of fees set for them, and the negatives they included, and the research reaches the results of the development of quarantine in the ottoman era, and the obstacles and difficulties that prevented them from reaching the desired form, which resulted in the emergence of several epidemics and diseases, the state of quarantine in the Hashemite era, which were not better than before, the state of quarantine in the Saudi era, and the good organization it received, which led to the subsequent dispensation of them.
