This paper deals with the impactof human factors on the population movement in North Darfur, during the period (1956-2019).
The researcher used the descriptive and analytical approaches.
Information was collected from primary sources through personal interviews and a questionnaire.
As well as through secondary sources, represented in libraries.
The study concluded that all kinds of conflicts that erupted in this state in the period (1968-2000 AD) were over natural resources, and then developed into an armed political conflict in the period (2002-2019).
And that the approach taken by all the governments that ruled Sudan in the period from 1987-2019 AD, b Regarding the appointment or election of tribesmen on constitutional occasions, or the indigenous administration, on a tribal basis, it has made a significant contribution to increasing the intensity of the conflict with its backward patterns, in the Darfur region in general, and the study area in particular.
This is in addition to the fact that 90.2% of the rural population who migrated to cities or camps for the displaced or refugees during the period (1956 - 2019 AD), was due to the influence of human factors (tribal conflict 12%, armed looting 3%, armed movements 44.4%, education 9.4%, work 8.6%, and services 12.8%).
The percentage of 9.8% is due to natural factors, namely drought and desertification.
As 59.1% of these immigrants settled in cities, aAs for 27.2% of displacement camps.
And 12.7% of the Sudanese refugees are in the camps of Chad.
And 1% of the southern refugees are in Haskanita camp in Al-L'it locality.
74.8% of the respondents stated that they would like the idea of returning to the areas from which they migrated, provided that the government provides them with development there.
As for 25.2%, they refused to return; rather, they preferred to stay in the cities because of the availability of social services in them.
, with the construction of an integrated system of statistics and information to provide an accurate information base to follow the migration movement.
