Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the effect of an adaptive learning environment based on the cognitive style (dependent - independent) on the achievement and development of programming skills using the Scratch program in the subject of digital skills for elementary school students in Kholias province schools, and the study relied on the descriptive and experimental method, through the application of achievement test to measure the cognitive aspects, Observation card to measure the performance aspects related to programming skills in Scratch with digital skills, and a classifying scale to measure cognitive style (dependent - independent) on random sample of (76) student from for elementary school students in Kholias province schools, and the study results showed that there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) among electronic and adaptive learning environment based on the cognitive style (dependent - independent) in students' achievement of the cognitive and performance aspect of programming skills using the Scratch program in the digital skills subject in favor of the of an adaptive learning environment based on the independent cognitive style, in the light of the results of the study, the researcher submit a number of recommendations and research proposals related to these results.
