Abstract EN

This paper dealt with the impact of population mobility in the state of North Darfur during the period (1956-2019).

The researcher used the descriptive and analytical approaches.

The data was collected from Books and magazines, questionnaires and personal interviews Scientific Court.

The study found that 90.2% of the migrations in the study area were based on different human reasons (tribal conflict 12%, 3% armed looting, armed movements 44.4%, education 9.4%, work 8.6%, and services 12.8%).

Only 9.8% for natural causes (drought and desertification).

And that 59.1% of these migrants settled in cities, 27.2% in displacement camps.

12.7% in Sudanese refugee camps in the State of Chad.

1% represented the southern refugees at a Haskanita camp in Al-liayit locality.

And that 74.8% of respondents would like to return to their previous areas, based on the following justification: if development, security and work opportunities are provided in the countryside, and the difficulty of living in cities, if the economy is improved in southern Sudan (southern refugees).

However, 25.2% Of them refused voluntary return, for the following reasons: the opportunities for employment in the city; and the comfort of living in cities and the social services in cities arebetter, that is in addition to cultural, social, and economical profits.

Alfashir city obtained the first class in all cities in North Darfur State.

There is a decline for the second limit (mute), and the third (Kabkabi) on the volume of the first city gesture for further urban hegemony of the city of El Fasher in March 2014.

While the city has completely disappeared from the list, after the third in 1993 census, as a result of deteriorating security situation in 2004, which led to a suspension of trade with Libya.

The city of Mute has been maintaining its ranks, the second city since Census (1993, 2008), and 20,2018.

There is an urban hegemony of the urban centers of this mandate by 1.37 in the 1993 census, but increased to 2.07 in the 2008 census, and 3.75 in 2014, and 3.76 more than 2018.

This increase is indicated by a strong urban hegemony The city of El Fasher and the rest of these cities has been responded to severe influencial factors in general in the region.
