Abstract EN

The paper aimed to identify the role of school principals in the professional development of teachers from the point of view of secondary school teachers in the Muwaqar district, in addition to showing the impact of each of the variables of gender and academic qualification on the professional development of teachers.

the study sample was chosen randomly, and it consisted of (92) male and female teachers.

to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of (30) items.

the study showed that the degree of the role of school principals in the professional development of teachers from the point of view of secondary school teachers in the Muwaqqar district was high.

the results also showed the absence of statistically significant differences due to the variable of sex, and the presence of statistically significant differences due to the variable of academic qualification and in favor of graduate studies.

the study also recommended the need to strengthen the role of principals in the professional development of teachers.
