The phenomenon of school violence is a social problem that exists almost in every school.
it appears through some behavioral patterns, and it has negative effects and damages that hinders achieving the goals sought by socialization institutions.
This study aims to identify the phenomenon of school violence among students of intermediate education.
The data were collected from (180) students.
The study revealed that there is school violence in various dimensions among students, and that violence against the others is the most common.
The study also showed differences in school violence in favor of males.
The media in all its forms, readable, audio-visual, is one of the factors that cause the spread of the phenomenon of school violence, due to its various characteristics and technological capabilities that affect the cognitive, emotional and behavioral aspects of students.
Students watch movies and cartoons which contain scenes of violence and they have a continuous access to violent games through the Internet.
This finding is consistent with the results of many scientific studies, which confirmed the spread of violence, especially among adolescents and children.
On the other hand, the media can have a great impact in confronting school violence in all its forms by intensifying awareness-raising operations through various media, especially on television channels and the Internet.
There is a need to monitor and combat television programs that arouse the desire to practice some unethical behaviors.
Pornographic websites on the Internet should be prohibited.
